You know something is gaining traction when your parents say, “Have you heard about this Clubhouse thing?” “Yeah mom, it’s like if the comments section on Facebook could speak.”, “That good, eh?” “Meh, we’ll see what happens over the next few months”.
I’m on the fence about what’s to come of it. Two million users at the start of 2021 and already up to Six million in the first week of February — and not open to Android users, yet.
There’s a lot of noise and already a lot of drama. It’s also hard to miss it because the feed (aka the hallway) shows you everything going on and even when you swipe right to hide it, it will re-emerge when you PTR (That’s Clubhouse speak for Pull to Refresh) — I know you’ll sleep better tonight knowing that piece of information.
But I digress, it’s all about your community and what you make of it. But, please, for the love of all things holy in this world, do NOT add “Clubhouse Moderator” or “Professional Moderator” to your CH profile. ✳️
As for me, thank you to everyone who has DM’d me on IG after watching my first week of IG-streaming my updates. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one going through a re:brand and that some of this is actually helping you. Thank you for that!
This week, I plan to have the website fully stocked and ready to go, then, I will tweak everything to make it better. Next week, I plan to start touching up my other two sites so that’ll be a whole ‘nother story.
