Meet Peter

Broadcaster, Host, Live-streamer, VR, Music Biz, Runner, King of Random.

Peter Schwinge is the go-to guy for all things media, events, and the intersection of real-world and technology. 

Peter is currently the Founder and Executive Director of Moving Target Group which works on media productions, conferences and events. He is also Executive Producer and Host on Music Industry City’s weekly livestream and podcast programming, where he shares new thoughts and conversations about the music business with leading industry guests so you can stay in-the-know. In addition, he hosts a weekly VR & Music Networking event in AltspaceVR. He is also the creator and host of the Stories from the Run podcast, where he interviews everyday, inspirational, runners who are breaking through challenges and barriers, and overcoming obstacles, and recently launched vrprofiles.com, the place to store all your VR profiles in one location.

Some of the events Peter has spoken live at include; SXSW, Digital Music Forum/Digital Entertainment World, New York University, Baruch College, Pace University, Golden Melody Awards Conference (Taiwan), New Music Seminar, and has delivered keynote speeches; including the Roskilde Festival and Musiczonen conferences in Denmark.

More recently, Peter has augmented his hosting duties to include emceeing virtual conferences due to the lockdown of live events. During these events, Peter proved that he doesn’t just introduce the speakers, he creates an energetic and entertaining conversational environment to the benefit of the speakers and attendees. He has also created unique, crossover events which incorporate Virtual Reality and IRL.

Peter has a rich professional history in media production, business development, performance, event production, music licensing, and management. Prior to Moving Target Group, he founded NakedEdge Productions, a fully integrated multimedia production facility in NYC. He was also the Founder and Director of Nordic Spotlight, a media outlet focusing on Nordic Music and Culture. Later on, he joined the legendary, New Music Seminar as Partner and General Manager.

Originally from New York, Peter graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sound Recording Technology and Performance from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and later, a Master’s degree in Music Business from New York University. While at NYU, he was President of the Music Business Graduate Ambassador Board, received the President’s Service Award, the first student to participate in Steinhardt’s Academic Initiatives and Work-abroad Program in London, member of the Stern School of Business Entrepreneurs Exchange Program, and had the honorable distinction as Valedictory Banner Bearer.
